Could you be the Programme Manager for the new Hidden Threads programme? This is a new heritage project recording the life stories and textile traditions of South Asian Muslim women in Bradford. Through oral history and sewing sessions with three groups of women, we will build a digital archive and hold public exhibitions sharing a heritage that has rarely been recorded.
We are looking for a Programme Manager to hold the project together: planning delivery, leading on safeguarding and consent, supporting volunteers, and making sure we meet our commitments to participants and to The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Role Description
You will need experience of managing projects, experience of working with South Asian women, and good conversational Urdu and Punjabi, as much of the oral history work will take place in these languages.
The role is for 14 hours a week at £16 per hour (£11,648 a year). It is a fixed term contract, from late November 2026 to December 2027.
