Pathways to Employment – The Cellar Trust

With their new Pathways to Employment programme – The Cellar Trust support people with serious mental illness, or whose enduring mental health problems affect their ability to find or sustain employment. Whether people want to develop new skills, undertake a new qualification, gain some work experience, or explore a new career choice – They can support you to do just that.
Everyone has a state of mental health, but the effects of having poor mental health can be lifechanging and devastating in all aspects of life. Having poor mental health can be a huge contributing factor to gaining and maintaining employment. However, no matter where you are on your journey, The Cellar Trust can support you.
There are a couple of requirements to be able to gain the support and they are:
▪️for people aged 16 or over
▪️you are living in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale or Craven area
▪️you have been out of work or on sick leave with enduring mental health problems
▪️and you are wanting to work towards a specific goal such as education, training, voluntary or paid work.
What do they offer?
Working together, you can explore all areas of self-development; you can even take advantage of their Confidence for Work or Self0development workshops. So, whatever step you believe you are ready to take, The cellar Trust have an experienced, lovely guiding team ready to support you.
Itemised, you can look forward to receiving support with:
▪️one-to-one coaching
▪️action planning and goal setting
▪️creating cover letters
▪️structured job searching
▪️support with the application process
▪️interview preparation
What happens when I gain employment?
Once you are employed, The Cellar Trust will still be there to help you maintain your employment and to support you settle into your new role!
Staying in work
You may be an employer with concerns about a member of your workforce, or an employee experiencing difficulties with your mental wellbeing, you may need support with work retention and sick leave. The Cellar Trust can offer the following services to support you:
▪️Return to work strategy
▪️One-to-one coaching and regular progress reviews
▪️Action planning and goal setting
▪️Negotiating reasonable workplace adjustments
