About Behind Closed Doors
Domestic abuse is always unacceptable. We support everyone in Leeds affected by it and act to prevent it.
Behind Closed Doors has been tackling domestic abuse for 25 years. We provide support to everyone in Leeds who is affected by domestic abuse, and we act to prevent it.
We are the only service in Leeds to provide end to end support. We are there at the point of crisis, we stay on to work with individuals and families through their recovery, and we deliver preventative activities in the form of training with services, charities, in the workplace and in educational settings.
We have supported thousands of people whose lives have been affected by domestic abuse; last year alone 720 people came to us for help. Our Men’s domestic abuse service is recognised as the specialist service in Leeds and we are currently working towards Lime Culture Accreditation to develop our response to men’s experiences of sexual violence.
